Historic Pharsalia

Pharsalia, located in Nelson County, Virginia, was once a thriving plantation and a private residence for five generations. In 2006, it was opened to the public as a venue for special events.

Group3 helped launch the opening of this unique property as a destination for special gatherings. Through print advertising and collateral, event marketing, website development and social media, we have helped continue the tradition of hospitality that has been the Pharsalia hallmark for nearly two centuries. The grace and elegance of this magnificent home remind all who visit of a time when one could connect with the land, connect with family, and perhaps reconnect with oneself.

Today, Pharsalia is a popular destination for intimate weddings, gardening and cooking classes, the Nelson County Folk Festival and a host of outdoor tours.
